claude-howto: a free 10-step Claude Code learning path (with a Vietnamese edition)
TL;DR
claude-howto (luongnv89/claude-howto, MIT) is a guide to learning Claude Code through 10 ordered modules, roughly 11–13 hours in total. It includes visual diagrams, copy-paste templates, a self-assessment and per-module quizzes — and it’s available in Vietnamese.
Claude Code has a lot of features: slash commands, memory, checkpoints, skills, hooks, MCP, subagents, plugins… Newcomers usually learn piecemeal from videos and posts and miss important parts. claude-howto (luongnv89/claude-howto, MIT licence) is a free guide split into 10 ordered modules, estimated at 11–13 hours, with visual diagrams, copy-paste templates, a self-assessment and a quiz for each module, and it's available in Vietnamese too.

How the path is structured
The order goes from daily use to extending the system:
- Modules 1–4 (foundations): basic operations, project memory (CLAUDE.md), going back with checkpoints and using Claude Code from the command line.
- Modules 5–8 (extending): packaging workflows as skills, automating with hooks, connecting external systems via MCP and delegating to subagents.
- Modules 9–10 (advanced): in-depth features and packaging as plugins to share.
How to learn effectively
- Take the self-assessment first to see what you already know and skip it.
- Work through each module in a real project or test repo, not just by reading.
- Use the quiz after each module to check understanding.
- Note 1–2 things to apply at work that week (for example a slash command for something repetitive).
- By modules 5–7, build something real: a skill, a hook that runs lint, an MCP connection.
For individuals, teams and PMs
- Individuals: run
/self-assessmentfirst to skip what you know; use/lesson-quizafter each module. - Teams: use it as an onboarding curriculum: 2 modules a week, plus a 15-minute internal demo where people share what they built.
- PMs: modules 1, 2 and 5 are enough to understand what agents can do and delegate better, without learning all the technical parts.
Available languages
English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Ukrainian and Japanese, handy if team members aren't comfortable with English documentation.
Caveats when learning from community material
- Claude Code changes fast; cross-check with the official docs when a command or option doesn't work as described.
- Check each module's last-updated date and the corresponding Claude Code version.
- Read templates carefully before copying them into a real project, especially hooks and permission settings.
